Walkthrough Before We Start
Before any wood arrives, the lead installer walks each room with you, checks the subfloor for soft or noisy spots and plans which direction the rows will run.

The people nailing your floor work for Brazil Floors directly. They hold NWFA certification, and our license and insurance protect your home the whole time.
Start day begins with a second round of measuring, then a count of every carton, transition piece and length of trim, so nobody makes a supply run halfway through.
We back our installation labor for one full year from the last day of work, and your hardwood carries its maker's warranty on top.

Straight rows run with the longest wall, giving a calm, classic look and the least cutting waste.

Short oak pieces laid in a zigzag give a front entry real character.

Angled ends meet in a neat point, pulling the eye down a hallway.

Rows laid at an angle across the room stretch a narrow space visually and draw attention away from walls that wander.

Small oak squares alternate grain direction for a traditional look in a dining area.

Pairs of short strips turn ninety degrees in each square, a woven pattern that suits a den or study.

Unfinished hardwood installed comes to about $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished about $6.00/Sq Ft. If you already bought wood, labor alone is $2.25 nailed or $2.50 glued and nailed.
Yes, and we can handle it. Taking up carpet, pad and tack strip, or an older floor, runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, listed as its own line on your estimate.
Wood takes on moisture from its surroundings. Letting cartons rest in your home for a few days helps the planks adjust, so they're less likely to gap or cup later.
Not solid oak, since it can react to moisture from below. Engineered hardwood floated over foam is the better choice there, at $2.00/Sq Ft labor.
We can. It's a flat $250, and that covers emptying the rooms beforehand and putting it all back at the end. Please pack up small fragile items yourself.
Our Coventry warehouse ships next day once you order. After that, the cartons sit indoors near where they'll be installed, giving the oak time to adjust before we begin.
You pay for labor once the crew is unloading tools at your place on day one. Wood bought through us gets paid on delivery, so there's no big deposit just to hold your date.
If something we installed loosens or starts making noise within the first year, call and a crew member will return to take care of it, free of charge.
