Pergo Outlast+ and Defense+
Pergo builds these planks with its SpillProtect surface and a 2mm pad already attached. Sun Veiled Oak adds an antimicrobial finish and is approved for steam mopping, a smart pick for New Jersey kitchens that see a lot of cooking.
Quick-Step Studio
Quick-Step makes Studio in the USA with an AC4 wear rating and its SpillRepel waterproof guarantee. The planks click together over an attached pad and are approved for every level of the home, so a finished basement in Connecticut is fair game.
STAINMASTER
STAINMASTER laminate pairs an ACTIVELIFE SHIELD surface with an AC4 wear layer. The PetProtect colors add CLAWSHIELD scratch resistance, which counts for a lot in a Massachusetts home where the dog spends the whole winter indoors.
Built for Kids, Dogs and Muddy Boots
Quick-Step and STAINMASTER planks carry an AC4 wear rating, and Pergo Outlast+ comes with a pet scratch warranty. Grit sweeps right off, and a lightly damp mop takes care of the rest.
From Pale Maple to Deep Tobacco Brown
Northern Blonde Maple and Lafayette Chestnut keep a room bright. Glenwood Oak and Marigold Oak sit in the warm golden middle, Hanford Oak and Thornbury Oak lean gray, and Vintage Tobacco Oak goes dark. We'll set planks side by side in your own light so you can compare.
Quiet Underfoot From Day One
Every plank on this page has its pad already attached, which means no extra underlayment to roll out and softer sounding footsteps. That's a real plus in a New York apartment with neighbors below.
Most Rooms Finished in a Day
Click lock edges snap together and float over the subfloor, so there's no glue to cure and no finish to dry. You can walk on the new floor as soon as the last plank is in.
Ready for Kitchens and Basements
Waterproof planks mean a boiled over pot or a damp Rhode Island basement won't make the edges swell. We look at the slab's moisture level and flatness before a single box is opened.
Laminate or Vinyl? We Will Tell You
Laminate has a harder, more wood like surface and usually costs less per square foot. Vinyl plank is softer and shrugs off standing water. We'll point you to the right one for each room, even if that means the cheaper floor.
Laminate Flooring Questions
Is waterproof laminate really waterproof?
These planks are made to handle spills, pet accidents and damp mopping without swelling, as long as water gets wiped up. Each brand writes its own waterproof warranty, and we'll go over the terms with you before you choose.
How much does laminate flooring cost?
Material runs $1.99/Sq Ft to $2.19/Sq Ft for Quick-Step Studio, $2.39/Sq Ft to $2.79/Sq Ft for STAINMASTER and $2.79/Sq Ft to $3.29/Sq Ft for Pergo. Labor depends on your rooms and subfloor, so we price it after measuring.
Can laminate go in a basement?
Quick-Step Studio is rated for any level of a house, below grade included. We test the concrete for moisture and check that it's flat first, because click planks need a level base to stay locked.
Is laminate a good choice with pets?
It's one of the better ones. STAINMASTER PetProtect colors have CLAWSHIELD scratch resistance, and Pergo Outlast+ includes a pet scratch warranty. Trimmed nails and felt pads under chairs go a long way too.
Can new laminate go over my current floor?
Often it can. Floating planks sit fine over flat sheet vinyl or tile, but carpet has to be pulled up. At the free visit we'll look at what you have and tell you what stays.
Monthly payments are available, with nothing due before installation day.
Free in home visits bring planks from all three brands right to your kitchen table.
Our own installers handle every room, from the first measurement to the last transition strip.
Dips and humps get flattened first, since floating planks only lock tight on a level base.
