About This Policy

Brazil Floors installs, refinishes and sells hardwood, vinyl and laminate flooring, and we bring samples to your home for free estimates. In this policy, "Brazil Floors," "we," "us" and "our" mean our company. "You" means anyone who visits our website, contacts us or hires us.

The policy covers information we collect online and offline, including through our website, phone calls, emails, text messages, estimate visits and the jobs we complete. It doesn't cover information about our own employees or job applicants.

Information We Collect

Here are the kinds of personal information we may collect, depending on how you work with us:

Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property where the work would take place.
Project details: room measurements, flooring choices, colors you're considering, preferred dates, notes from your estimate and the scope of work you approve.

We don't ask for your Social Security number. If you apply for financing, that application goes straight to the lender, and the lender's own privacy policy covers it.

From partners who help us with your project, such as a financing company letting us know your application was approved.
From review and referral sites when you choose to contact us through them.

To handle payments, warranty questions and follow up service.
To ask for feedback or a review after your job, which you're always free to skip.
To share offers or flooring tips by email, only if you haven't told us to stop.

How We Share Information

We don't sell your name, phone number, email or address to anyone, and we don't rent our customer list. We share information only in these situations:

Our crews and installers who need your address and project details to do the work.
Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, scheduling, email, text messaging, payment processing, accounting and data storage. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
Financing partners if you choose to apply for a payment plan.
Legal reasons when we're required to respond to a court order, subpoena or government request, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Business changes if Brazil Floors is ever sold or merged, in which case the new owner would have to keep honoring this policy.

Text Messages

When you share your mobile number and agree to receive texts from Brazil Floors, we use it only to communicate about your estimate, appointments and project. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is the messaging provider that delivers our texts, which uses your number solely to send them.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Our Terms of Use include the full SMS terms.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while we're working with you and afterward for as long as we reasonably need it for warranty service, tax and business records, or legal claims. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove anything that could identify you. Copies in backups are erased on our normal backup schedule.

How We Protect It

We use reasonable safeguards, such as password protected accounts, limited access for staff and secure providers, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please never send card numbers, bank details or passwords by text or email.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws in states such as Connecticut, New Jersey and Rhode Island may give you the right to:

Find out what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it.
Ask us to correct information that's wrong.
Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law or for warranty work.
Opt out of targeted advertising or any sale of personal information. We don't sell your information, but you can still ask us to stop ad related sharing.
Appeal if we turn down your request.

We'll honor these requests for any customer, no matter which state you call home. To make a request, call 800-909-0730 or email sales@brazilfloors.com. We'll confirm your identity by matching at least two details you've given us before, and we'll answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision within 30 days, and we'll respond to the appeal within 45 days. You can also send a request through someone you authorize in writing. We'll never charge you more or treat you differently for using these rights.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to Other Websites

Our pages link to manufacturers, lenders, review sites and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
