Walkthrough Before We Start

A walkthrough comes first. Our lead installer checks for soft spots in the subfloor, notes every doorway height and plans which way the rows should run.

Licensed, Insured Installation

These are our own employees, NWFA certified, licensed and insured, so the person kneeling on your subfloor is someone we trained and stand behind.

Remeasure and Material Count

On install morning the tape measure comes out again. Cartons get counted, transitions get laid out at each doorway, and only then does the nailer start.

One Year Install Warranty

Twelve months on our workmanship, plus whatever warranty the mill stands behind on the wood itself.

/ FLOOR PATTERN DESIGNS

How the planks run sets the mood of a room. Straight, diagonal, herringbone or chevron, our installers handle each pattern you see below.

/ OUR SERVICES

Abington Hardwood Flooring Installers

From the streets off Route 18 to the blocks near North Abington Depot, every job starts the same way: the old floor comes up and we get down to plywood. In this house our guys unrolled new underlayment, then nailed oak strips row after row, leaving a small gap at the walls so the wood can move come July.

Hardwood Floor Installation FAQ

Folks tend to want three things settled before we book: the price, the calendar and which rooms to empty. Honest answers for homes in town sit below.
Get your Free In-Home Estimate
What's the going rate to install hardwood floors?

Labor is $2.25/Sq Ft for nail down, nails and underlayment counted in. Buying the wood through us? Unfinished oak installed comes to $5.50/Sq Ft, and prefinished lands at $6.00/Sq Ft.

Will your crew pull up my carpet or tile?

Yes. Tearing out an old floor usually runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and the debris leaves with us. If you'd like us to handle the furniture too, moving it out and back is a flat $250.

Does the wood need time to sit in our home first?

Solid hardwood needs a few days indoors to settle to the room, and our moisture meter checks both the oak and the plywood under it. That short wait saves you from gaps and cupping later on.

Can hardwood go over concrete in a basement?

Solid oak shouldn't, but engineered planks can. We float them over underlayment for $2.00/Sq Ft, supply the glue for the joints and never put a hole in the slab.

How fast can you get started?

Your wood rolls out of Coventry on our own truck the next morning, and installers get booked for right after it lands. Ask about weekend dates if weekdays are hard for your family.

Is your price really the lowest around?

We buy direct and sell at contractor pricing. Got a cheaper written estimate on that same floor from someone else? Show it to us and we will beat it.

How does payment work on an install?

Labor gets settled on the morning our installers pull into your driveway, and the material is paid when it's dropped off at your door. That's the whole arrangement, with no surprise fees at the end.

Who do I call if a squeak shows up next spring?

Our workmanship is backed twelve months, on top of the plank maker's warranty. Should a row lift or a squeak creep in, ring 508-306-4190 and the same licensed, insured crew swings back to fix it.
