Walkthrough Before We Start
Our lead installer starts by pressing on the subfloor, checking how level each room sits and noting where thresholds will meet the old finished floor in your house.

Everyone who works in your Holbrook home is on the Brazil Floors payroll. They are NWFA certified, licensed and insured, and none of them is a subcontractor.
The day the work begins, cartons are counted and stacked room by room, trim pieces are laid by each doorway, and nothing starts until the count matches the order.
We stand behind our labor for one year. The boards themselves arrive with the maker's materials warranty, so the install and the wood are both covered.

Boards run lengthwise down the longest wall, a low-waste layout that makes a narrow cape hallway feel longer.

Short pieces set in alternating directions give a formal dining room a woven look without much extra cost.

Each board end is cut at 45 degrees so rows meet in a sharp V that pulls the eye toward the far wall.

Planks set on a diagonal across the room trick the eye into seeing more width, helpful in a small kitchen.

Square oak tiles with grain alternating by hand, a classic parquet look for a den or sunroom.

Thin oak pieces woven into a basket pattern and framed with a dark border suit the early 1900s homes along Union Street.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft and covers nails and underlayment. Buying the boards through us brings it to $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. The carpet, pad and tack strips come out, any weak spots in the subfloor are fastened down, and the oak goes over sound plywood. Tear-out runs about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered planks are the answer. They float on underlayment with glued joints, so nothing is driven into the slab, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Labor is due when the crew arrives, and material is paid as the boxes are delivered. Sanding jobs split into half at the start and half at the final coat.
Material ships from our Natick warehouse the next day after you order, so the wood is at the house before the crew starts laying.
We do, for a flat $250. Without that, we ask that the room be cleared before the crew arrives.
It does, at $2.50/Sq Ft plus the adhesive. Wide planks and rooms over a damp crawlspace are the usual reasons to choose it.
The labor has a one year warranty from Brazil Floors, and the flooring keeps its manufacturer warranty. Every installer who comes to the house holds a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
