Walkthrough Before We Start
Many Avon homes went up in the fifties and sixties, and their subfloors have settled. Our lead installer walks the house first, checking for soft spots, door heights and how square each room really is.

The installers in your house are Brazil Floors employees on payroll, never subcontractors, each one licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
Install day opens with the tape. We count cartons against the plan, stage transitions at every doorway and snap a chalk line before a single board is nailed.
Our labor is backed for one year, and the hardwood keeps the warranty its mill provides, so both the work and the wood are covered.

Boards follow the longest wall, the quickest layout with the least waste. In an Avon ranch it stretches the main room visually.

Short lengths meet at right angles in a zigzag, fitted one by one. A handsome choice for the dining room of an older Avon home.

Plank ends cut at 45 degrees meet in a V down the center, a modern pattern for an open kitchen in a renovated Avon split level.

Rows set at a 45 degree angle to the walls widen a narrow hall and disguise a wall that drifts out of square in an older Avon house.

Oak squares with the grain turned square to square, a parquet grid that holds up well under the dining table in a Norfolk County colonial.

Pairs of short strips alternate direction in a woven pattern, often with a dark border, a detail for a den in a home along the Old Beaten Path.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, nails and underlayment included. With wood from our Natick warehouse, unfinished oak installed runs $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished $6.00/Sq Ft, and material bought through us can be up to 30% off.
Yes. Tear out runs about $1.00/Sq Ft and we haul the debris away. Moving furniture out and back is a flat $250 if you would rather not lift a thing.
Solid hardwood sits indoors for a few days so it adjusts to your rooms, and we meter both the boards and the subfloor before nailing. That wait prevents gaps in January and cupping in August.
Engineered hardwood floats over underlayment at $2.00/Sq Ft, with glue in every joint and nothing drilled into the concrete. Solid oak stays on the upper floors.
Next day from the warehouse at 9 Cochituate St in Natick. Book the estimate online and $250 comes off the job as well.
We bring them to your door. The estimate is free, and the estimator lays oak, maple and engineered samples on your floor in your own light so the color is judged where it will live.
Labor is paid the morning the installers show up, and the wood is paid when our truck unloads the boxes. Nothing is collected to hold the date.
Phone 508-306-4190. The same licensed and insured crew returns under our one year labor warranty, and the wood itself is covered by its manufacturer.
