Walkthrough Before We Start
During that first visit, our lead bounces on any spongy subfloor spots, checks door clearances with a tape and pencils out the plank direction room by room.

Your crew carries NWFA certification, state licensing and insurance, and draws a paycheck from us. Nobody subcontracts your Agawam job to strangers.
Before the first cut on install morning, we remeasure. Thresholds, reducers and the carton count get compared again to the sketch from your estimate.
For twelve months, any problem with our installation labor is ours to fix, and your oak also comes with a separate mill warranty.

Long rows aimed down the room's main axis, simple, quick and light on waste.

Short pieces laid in a staggered zigzag that adds classic flair to a dining room.

Planks cut at matching angles that meet in a crisp arrow, pulling the eye down a hall.

Rows set on a diagonal from one corner toward the other, which opens up a tight room and hides out of square walls nicely.

Small square blocks alternating direction, a tidy grid that shows off lots of grain.

Pairs of short pieces turning each block, a woven look that feels at home in a study.

Nailing solid oak is $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, nail plus glue costs $2.50/Sq Ft, and a floated engineered floor is $2.00/Sq Ft. Using our wood, an unfinished oak package costs $5.50/Sq Ft, while prefinished packages are $6.00/Sq Ft.
Wood moves a little every season. We meter the subfloor, let the oak sit in your home before install and leave expansion space, which keeps summer cupping and winter gaps small.
Sure. We install it at standard labor rates. Buying through us brings contractor pricing and a Coventry shipment the next day, plus we'll top any lower quote you show us in writing.
We do both. Tearing out your current flooring and carting it to the dump runs about $1.00/Sq Ft. If you'd like help with the sofa, beds and dressers, we charge one flat $250 to move and return them.
Engineered planks can float over a slab at $2.00/Sq Ft. Solid oak needs plywood to nail into, so bare concrete isn't a good match for it.
A bedroom or two is often done in one day. Larger first floors usually run two or three days of work, plus several days for solid oak to acclimate first.
Pay the labor as our trucks arrive in your driveway, and wood purchased from us is paid as it's delivered. If sanding and finishing is included, that part splits evenly between start and finish.
The mill warrants the wood and we cover labor for twelve months. Phone 508-306-4190 if it happens, and the same installers who laid your floor will return to sort it out.
