Dustless Floor Refinishing
Each sander is hooked to an extraction vacuum that grabs dust as it's made. We wipe down window ledges and trim, and the floor gets vacuumed ahead of every layer of finish.

Figure on several days between the first growl of the drum sander and the final layer curing. Bare feet are welcome after about a day; dressers and couches wait a bit longer.
Gouges, loose planks and pet spots are fixed before sanding begins, so patched areas sand down level with their neighbors and the repairs disappear into the room.
Every refinish in town carries twelve months of labor protection. Half is paid as our sanders first rev up, and the remainder after you've walked the finished floor with us.

Natural is clear finish only, letting red or white oak show its true honey or blond tone.

A mid brown disguises crumbs and pet fur in the kitchen where the family eats breakfast.

Neutral brown softens the orange glow of red oak installed decades ago and suits nearly any trim color.

A warm reddish brown that suits brick fireplaces and darker painted trim in older colonials.

Dark walnut lends the dining table area a more formal feel while still letting the grain come through.

Near black espresso is bold in a large open room, but lint and paw prints show sooner than on lighter shades.

Our price is $2.50/Sq Ft, which includes the sanding, a stain if you'd like one, and the clear layers on top. Stair treads cost $50 apiece. If our crew handles the furniture, that's a single $250 charge.
Yes. Sanding takes off the surface the sun has lightened, and fresh finish evens the tone. If one spot stays much paler, a stain helps it blend with the surrounding planks.
Very little dust escapes. Every machine is plugged into a vacuum hose that swallows the dust as the paper cuts, and the room is cleaned once more before each finish layer.
Most solid oak has several sandings in it. We remove a floor vent cover and measure the thickness above the tongue, and you'll get a straight answer if it's too thin.
Usually. Water based finish smells fairly gentle, so most families just steer clear of whichever rooms we're in that day. If the kitchen is included, plan on pizza delivery for a day or two.
Light ones often sand out. When dark marks have soaked well into the oak, we replace those pieces and feather in the color, and then the full room gets refinished.
One payment comes on day one as our crew gets started. The second is made when the finish has hardened and you've had a chance to look the floor over.
Yes. Licensed, insured people on our payroll do every refinish, and we stand by that work for a year. If anything isn't right, we'll return and fix it.
