Walkthrough Before We Start
A lot of Longmeadow homes date from the early and middle twentieth century, so before quoting our lead tests the subfloor for soft spots, checks door clearances and looks over the stairs.

The people laying your floor are our own employees, never subcontractors, and each one is licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
On the first visit we tape out each room and work out how many cartons you need. On install day the trim pieces and reducers are staged at every opening before a single plank is nailed.
Our labor is guaranteed for one year after the last board goes in. The wood itself is covered by the manufacturer, so both the craftsmanship and the material have backing.

Boards run alongside the longest wall, which trims waste and lengthens a narrow living room.

Short oak lengths turn in alternating directions to form a stepped weave, an apt choice for a dining room in a traditional house.

With every plank end cut on a 45 degree bevel, rows meet in sharp arrows that guide the eye through a wide kitchen.

Run corner to corner, the boards make a modest den look wider and distract from walls that are not quite square.

Squares of oak with the grain turned against each neighbor make a patterned floor that looks right in a sunroom.

Thin oak strips woven over and under, framed by a darker border, give an entry or study a hand-built look.

Nail-down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, and the nails plus underlayment are part of that figure. If you buy the wood from us, installed unfinished hardwood totals $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished totals $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Tear-out of carpet, tile or worn boards runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and we confirm that number when we measure at your free estimate.
It can, as engineered hardwood. The planks float over padding with glued joints, so nothing is fastened into the slab, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Unfinished boards are sanded and coated in your home, which leaves a seamless surface and lets you choose the color. Prefinished boards skip that step and are quicker to live on.
Material ships from our Natick warehouse and reaches you the next day. Samples come to the house at the estimate, so you can compare them in your own light.
Yes, for a flat $250. The crew shifts the pieces out of the working rooms and sets them back once the job is complete.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and work begins, and material is paid when the boxes are delivered. Sanding is split into 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
Our labor comes with a one-year warranty, and the boards carry the manufacturer's own coverage. Every installer on the crew holds a license, carries insurance and has NWFA certification.
