How much will hardwood installation cost me in Westfield?
Nail-down labor sits at $2.25/Sq Ft and covers nails and underlayment. Buying wood from us as well brings the package to $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished, with up to 30% off material.
Can you pull up carpet in an old Westfield house?
Yes. Carpet, padding and tack strips are removed, any weak subfloor is secured and new hardwood is nailed over solid plywood. The tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Is solid hardwood possible over a basement slab?
No, a slab calls for engineered planks that float over padding with glued seams. The labor for that is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Is vinyl plank or laminate on your menu too?
Both, at $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate in labor, so one crew can finish the whole first floor.
How soon can the boxes reach my house?
Delivery from the Natick warehouse is the next day after you order, which lets us line up the crew around it.
What is the price of new oak stairs?
New hardwood treads are $60 each, including riser, nosing and stain. For existing stairs, refinishing is $50 per step.
When do payments come due?
Labor is paid the day the crew starts, material is paid when the boxes arrive, and sanding is paid half at the start and half after the last coat.
Does the installation carry a warranty?
It does: one year on our labor and the manufacturer's warranty on the boards. The installers hold licenses, insurance and NWFA certification.
