Walkthrough Before We Start
Sea air and old shingled capes mean floors that rarely sit perfectly level. Before laying a board, our lead checks the subfloor, the thresholds and every stair in your house.

Every installer who walks into your house is a Brazil Floors employee. They are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so nobody unfamiliar ends up working in your home.
At the in-home estimate we measure each room and order trim, reducers and extra boards in one go, which keeps the install moving once the crew arrives.
Our labor carries a one-year warranty. The flooring brings its own manufacturer warranty, which means both the work and the wood are protected.

Boards parallel to the long wall give the cheapest, fastest layout and make a narrow cape living room feel longer.

A zigzag of short boards set square to each other, each piece cut by hand. It suits a dining room in an older Third Cliff colonial.

Each row is mitered at 45 degrees to form a crisp V, a good match for the open plans of renovated homes.

Boards turned 45 degrees to the walls lead the eye along the room, so a small cottage kitchen near Peggotty Beach looks wider.

Oak blocks turned in alternating directions create the parquet look, handsome in a sunroom with water views.

Short pieces interlaced in a basket weave and trimmed with a contrasting border, at home in old houses around Old Scituate Light.

For nail-down work the labor rate is $2.25/Sq Ft, and nails plus underlayment are part of it. With boards from us the package runs $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
It can be, when the subfloor is dry. We check moisture at the estimate and tell you plainly if vinyl plank would suit a particular room better.
Engineered hardwood, floated on underlayment with glued joints so nothing is nailed into the concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. The crew pulls up carpet and padding, removes the tack strips, repairs weak spots in the subfloor and then installs the new hardwood. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Delivery is next day from our Natick warehouse, and the crew plans around that drop-off.
A tread is $60 and covers the oak, riser, nosing, stain and labor. Worn but solid treads can instead be refinished for $50 per step.
You owe labor on the morning the crew shows up and material at the moment boxes reach the house. Sanding work is 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
There is. Labor is covered for one year by us, and the flooring keeps its manufacturer warranty.
