Walkthrough Before We Start
It starts with our lead installer touring the house. He pokes at the subfloor, peers under thresholds and checks how each room lines up so the rows run true.

No subcontractors drive out to the tip of the Cape for us. Every installer is our own, NWFA certified, licensed, insured, and answers to us directly.
Day one starts with a final tape measure check. Cartons get opened, lengths sorted and trim pieces laid aside, all before a single nail is driven.
Should a plank we set lift or start chirping inside twelve months, we return, and the manufacturer still honors its own guarantee.

Rows set parallel to the longest wall make a small cottage room read wider and leave few offcuts.

Square ended pieces meet in a zigzag, an eye catching choice for a guest room or a studio.

Angled cuts join in a row of points, steering everyone straight toward the deck door.

Laid on the diagonal, planks soften a long narrow layout and hide crooked plaster walls.

Short blocks laid in alternating squares give a dining nook a crisp woven look underfoot.

Paired strips switch direction block by block, a custom touch for a library or writing room.

Humidity matters more than the salt itself. We meter the wood and subfloor before nailing, leave proper expansion space at the walls, and often suggest engineered planks for homes right on the water.
For nail down jobs we ask $2.25/Sq Ft, nails plus underlayment folded in. Want the wood from us? Unfinished oak supplied and nailed is $5.50/Sq Ft. Prefinished, $6.00/Sq Ft. Tearing out an old floor is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
We work it out ahead of time. During the estimate we look at where the van and the delivery can stop, so the wood can come off the truck without blocking the street for long.
Yes. They float on foam, glued only along the joints, and floating labor costs $2.00/Sq Ft, pad included. It suits slab foundations and lower levels well.
Coventry loads your order onto a truck one day after you call it in. Solid oak then sits in the house for a few days to acclimate before the installers return to lay it.
If you like. Clearing the rooms and setting everything back afterward is $250 flat for the job, so you do not have to wrestle the couch out on your own.
The install itself is paid the morning our team shows up, and the flooring is paid on delivery. Any sanding work is split, fifty percent at the start and fifty at the finish.
Every hardwood flooring job carries our one year promise on labor, and the manufacturer's coverage on the planks stays fully intact on top of it.
