Samples on Your Own Wood
Swatches go down on your actual oak, one near the brightest window and another in a shady corner, so you know how gray or walnut looks at noon and at dusk.

Stain magnifies every swirl a sander leaves. So the final sanding goes extra fine, and the floor gets vacuumed twice over before color ever touches it.
Our finisher works color down into the grain using a pad, and any surplus gets lifted off seconds behind, so lap lines and dark pools never get the chance to dry.
Coloring stays in house with our licensed, insured, NWFA trained finishers. If their handiwork lets you down inside a year after the final clear layer cures, we fix it.

Stain is $2.00/Sq Ft, charged in addition to the $2.50/Sq Ft sanding and refinishing. If you want the furniture cleared and returned, our crew does it for a flat $250.
Yes, always. A test spot gets sanded and several shades are applied in a row, so you watch each one dry on the real floor by morning and evening light.
Bright sun lightens any floor slowly over the years. A good clear finish over the stain helps, and rugs or shades in the brightest rooms slow it down further.
Red oak leans warm, so gray often comes out closer to taupe. We show you on your own floor first, and if you are installing new wood, white oak takes gray more cleanly.
Usually rough sanding or stain left sitting too long. Ours gets a fine final grit, careful vacuuming and section by section wiping to keep the color even.
Yes. Stains get mixed and tried on spare strips until the transition line between old and new disappears, then both areas are colored together when needed.
Stain must dry completely before any clear layer is applied. Your estimate includes the full timeline, right down to the day furniture can return.
Yes, for a year. If the color or the clear layers misbehave within those twelve months, our finishers return and correct it without charging you.
