Walkthrough Before We Start
Before a board goes down, our lead installer walks the house, taps for soft spots in the subfloor and checks how each doorway sits, which matters in a salt air cape where floors shift with the seasons.

Everyone on site is a Brazil Floors employee, never a subcontractor, with a license, insurance and NWFA certification behind the work.
On the first morning the crew remeasures, stacks cartons in the rooms where they will be used and sets out reducers and trim, so the nailer never stops to hunt for a part.
Our labor is warrantied for one year, and the mill backs the planks with its own materials warranty, so both the install and the wood are covered.

Boards run parallel to the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and stretches a compact cape living room.

Short planks angled into a zigzag give a sea captain house hallway a crafted, period look.

Planks cut at matching angles meet in a clean point, a good fit for the open plans of newer homes near Ocean Edge Resort.

Rows set on a 45 degree diagonal carry the eye across the room and make a small guest room feel wider.

Squares of oak with the grain alternating, parquet style, a throwback finish for a sunroom in a Factory Village house.

Short strips woven over and under, usually with a contrasting border, add detail to the dining room of an older home a short walk from the Cobb House.

Our nail down rate for labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, and the nails and underlayment cost nothing extra. If we supply the wood, unfinished comes to $5.50/Sq Ft all in and prefinished to $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. The old flooring comes up first, usually about $1.00/Sq Ft, and we inspect the boards or plywood underneath. Soft spots are fastened or replaced before any oak goes down.
Wood moves with the seasons on the Cape, so we test moisture first and leave an expansion gap at each wall. A dehumidifier in a damp lower level keeps the floor flat.
Yes. Leave a key or a lockbox code and the crew handles delivery, installation and cleanup. Labor is paid when work begins.
Delivery is the day after you order, from our Natick warehouse. Unfinished oak rests in the house a few days before nailing, while prefinished boards can often go down sooner.
Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft. For a lower level that gets damp, we steer you to vinyl plank.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives, and material is paid when the boxes are delivered. Sanding jobs split 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
Yes, with one year on labor and the manufacturer warranty on the materials. Every installer on the crew holds a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
