Walkthrough Before We Start
Hilly lots and century-old mill housing seldom give a flat subfloor, so the lead installer checks levelness, thresholds and the stairs before a single board comes out of the box.

Our installers are on Brazil Floors payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified, never hired out to a third party.
Day one starts with a full room count. Boxes, trim and transitions are stacked near the door so the installers are never hunting for a piece.
We stand behind the labor for one year, and the boards carry the maker's own warranty on top of it.

Boards follow the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and lengthens a narrow Blackinton hallway.

Short pieces set square to each other in a stepped pattern, cut one by one. It suits a formal dining room in a Victorian.

Rows are cut at 45 degrees so each pair closes into a tidy chevron point. It looks sharp across an open kitchen and dining area.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye across a small room, so a compact Braytonville kitchen reads wider.

Oak squares alternate their grain in a classic parquet layout, a fit for a sun porch with a view toward Greylock.

Narrow strips woven over and under, often framed by a darker border, belong in the older houses near the Hoosic River.

Nail-down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, and the nails and underlayment are inside that number. Add our wood and the package lands at $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. Tear-out of old flooring runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and after the carpet and padding are gone we check the plywood or boards below and secure anything loose before nailing.
Engineered planks. They float, so no nail touches the concrete, and the labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and the vinyl is the stronger choice for a damp cellar or a mudroom.
Delivery comes the day after you order, out of our Natick warehouse. Your estimator confirms the install date when the boxes are scheduled.
One new oak tread comes to $60 once the riser, nosing, stain and installation are rolled together. Existing oak steps in good shape can be refinished instead at $50 per step.
Labor is due when the crew arrives. Material is due when the boxes are delivered, and sanding jobs split 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
The labor has a one-year warranty from Brazil Floors, and the flooring itself keeps the manufacturer's warranty. Our own licensed, insured crews carry NWFA certification.
