Walkthrough Before We Start
The lead installer begins with a walk through, tapping the subfloor, sighting every doorway and trying the stairs, because a mountain house that freezes and thaws every year can move out of level.

No one on your floor is a subcontractor. Each installer is a Brazil Floors employee with a license, insurance and an NWFA certification.
On day one the crew measures again, puts cartons in the rooms they belong to and sets trim and reducers by the door, so the nailer never stops to search for a piece.
A year of warranty protects our labor, and the manufacturer warrants the boards, so the work and the wood both have cover.

Boards follow the longest wall, which leaves little waste and lengthens a small front room.

Short planks angled in a zigzag give an old hill town hallway a handcrafted feel.

Planks cut at matching angles meet in a sharp point, a good match for the open plans of rebuilt mountain homes.

Rows laid corner to corner at 45 degrees carry the eye across the room and widen a small den.

Oak squares with alternating grain create a parquet floor, a traditional answer for a sunroom facing the Hoosac Range.

Short strips woven over and under, usually with a dark border, add detail to a dining room in an older Drury house.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, with the nails and underlayment inside it. If we supply the wood too, the total is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. Our trucks drive the whole Trail, and the crew plans around mountain weather so delivery and installation stay on schedule.
Heating dries the air, and wood shrinks with it. We check moisture before nailing and leave a gap at each wall so the boards can move.
Yes. Leave a key or a lockbox code and the crew handles delivery, installation and cleanup, with labor paid when the work starts.
Boxes leave the Natick warehouse the day after you order. Unfinished oak needs a few days to settle indoors, while prefinished planks often go straight down.
Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft, and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft. If groundwater ever comes in, vinyl is the one to choose.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and material when the boxes arrive. On sanding jobs, half is paid at the start and half at the last coat.
A year on labor, plus the maker's warranty on the materials. Every installer on your job has a license, insurance and an NWFA certificate.
