Walkthrough Before We Start
Hill houses settle and shift, so before any plank is opened the lead installer checks the subfloor for soft spots and looks at how every doorway meets the room.

Nobody in your house works for a subcontractor. Every installer who comes up the Rowe hill roads is our own employee, with a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
On day one the crew measures again and stacks cartons in the rooms where they go, with trim and reducers beside them so the nailer keeps moving.
We stand behind our labor for a full year, and the mill backs the boards with its own warranty, so the work and the wood are both covered.

Boards run the long way of the room, which wastes the least wood. A narrow hall ends up looking longer.

Short pieces set at right angles in a zigzag. It dresses up a dining room in an old center chimney house.

Rows meet at 45 degrees in a clean point. It fits a kitchen opened up to the living room.

Planks set on a diagonal pull the eye across a small den and make a camp cabin feel wider.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, in a parquet look. A good fit for a sunroom facing Todd Mountain.

Short strips woven over and under, usually edged with a dark border. It reads well in an entry hall.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft with nails and underlayment included, and nail and glue is $2.50/Sq Ft plus adhesive. Buy the wood through us and the package is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished, installed in Rowe.
Yes, after the crew checks them. Loose boards get fastened, soft spots are fixed, and then the oak is nailed over a flat base.
Engineered hardwood, floated over a pad with glued joints so nothing is nailed into the slab. Labor for that is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Both. Labor is $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl plank and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate, and vinyl is the safer choice for a wet mudroom or lower level.
Your order leaves the Natick warehouse and reaches the house the next day. Tell the estimator about the driveway and the crew plans the unload around it.
A new hardwood tread is $60 each with riser, nosing, stain and labor included. Sound old treads can instead be refinished for $50 per step.
Labor is due as the crew walks in, and the material is due as the boxes come off the truck. When the job includes sanding, a Rowe homeowner pays half as the sander starts and half after the final coat.
Our labor is warrantied for twelve months, and the wood keeps its manufacturer warranty. Each crew member is licensed and insured, and holds NWFA certification.
