Walkthrough Before We Start
The first visit is a slow walk. Our lead installer tests the subfloor for movement, measures the rise at each doorway and decides how the boards should run.

Brazil Floors employs every installer who enters your house. They carry NWFA certification, a license and insurance, and nobody on the job is a subcontractor.
On installation day, the tape measure comes out a second time. Boxes are tallied, reducers are staged at thresholds and the nailer fires only after everything checks out.
A full year covers our labor. The boards bring their own manufacturer warranty, which means the install and the material each have backing.

Rows follow the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and keeps a long Holden family room looking tidy.

Short boards turned ninety degrees in turn form a herringbone cousin that suits a formal dining table.

Ends cut at 45 degrees meet in a sharp point, pulling the gaze down a long hall toward the stairs.

A diagonal run stretches a small kitchen sideways, so the room reads wider than its walls.

Oak squares set with the grain turned in alternate directions bring a parquet feel to a sunroom.

Thin oak woven into a basket pattern, edged with a dark border, fits a front hall in an older farmhouse.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, and the nails and underlayment are inside that number. Add the wood and it is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Engineered planks floated over underlayment suit a cellar slab, because no nails reach the concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. The carpet, pad and staples get hauled out first, with removal around $1.00/Sq Ft, then the subfloor is checked and the oak goes down.

Wide planks and some subfloors call for it. It is $2.50/Sq Ft for labor plus the adhesive, and we tell you at the estimate if your room needs it.
They leave our Natick warehouse the following day, so the delivery is at the door before the crew starts.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives. Material is paid when the boxes are delivered, and sanding jobs split into two halves.
Our labor has a one year warranty, and the wood has the mill's materials warranty. All installers are licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
