Walkthrough Before We Start
Hill country houses settle over the decades, so our lead installer walks the subfloor, checks door heights and picks the direction of the rows before a carton is opened.

Everyone who works in your home is a Brazil Floors employee, never a subcontractor, and each one is licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
The first morning, the crew lines up cartons, trim and reducers room by room, so nobody hunts for a piece once the nailer starts.
Our labor is warrantied for a year and the mill backs the wood with its own warranty. Labor is due the day the crew arrives.

Boards run along the longest wall for the quickest layout with the least waste, which stretches a narrow cape living room.

Short boards turned 90 degrees in a zigzag, each piece cut by hand. A good fit for the dining room of an old farmhouse.

Each row is mitered at 45 degrees to meet in a clean V, a look that works in newer open plans.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye across the room, so a small den in West Rutland reads larger.

Oak squares with alternating grain, laid parquet style, give a sunroom a classic look.

Short pieces woven over and under with a contrasting border, a traditional detail for the older homes near the Rufus Putnam House.

Nail-down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft and the nails and underlayment are part of it. If we supply the wood, the installed price is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. We lift the carpet and pad, pull the tack strips, check the plywood and fix soft spots before the first board goes down. Taking the existing floor out of a Rutland room adds roughly $1.00/Sq Ft to the labor.
Over concrete we use engineered planks. They float on padding with glued joints, so nothing is nailed into the slab, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, so a single crew can take on the whole house.
Boxes leave our Natick warehouse the next day and our people carry them into the house, which is when you settle up for the material.
Each new tread costs $60, and that figure already holds the riser, nosing, stain and installation. Sanding and refinishing the steps you already have is $50 per step.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and material when the boxes land. Sanding work splits in two, half at the start and half at the final coat.
You get one year on our labor plus the maker's warranty on the planks. The installers are licensed, insured, NWFA certified and on our payroll.
