Walkthrough Before We Start
Old farmhouses settle, so your lead installer starts by walking every room with you, checking for sags by the chimney, door heights and where new oak will meet tile.

We never send a subcontractor down your driveway. Whoever arrives in our van is an NWFA certified employee with a license and insurance.
The tape comes out again on install day. Each room is checked against the plan, and cartons, reducers and stair nosing are counted so no one drives to Ware for missing trim.
Workmanship carries our one year promise, and the wood company covers the planks themselves under a separate warranty.

The classic layout: in a long farmhouse kitchen, planks run end to end in parallel rows with very little waste.

Short pieces lock together in a sharp zigzag, a real showpiece in an entry hall.

Ends cut on matching angles line up into arrows that lead you down a hallway.

Planks laid at forty five degrees help a small farmhouse bedroom feel wider and hide crooked walls.

Little blocks set in squares, each turned the other way, give a study an old world look.

Pairs of strips alternate direction like a woven basket, a pretty choice for a sunny reading nook.

If you bought the wood yourself, nailing it in place runs $2.25/Sq Ft, underlayment and every fastener in. With our wood, unfinished oak totals $5.50/Sq Ft put in, and prefinished oak is $6.00/Sq Ft.
Not usually. At the estimate we look for dips and humps in the subfloor, then we plane down high spots and shim low ones before any oak goes down.
Usually, yes. We find wood of the same width and species, weave it into the old rows, and then sand both floors together at $2.50/Sq Ft so they blend into one color.
Engineered wood, floated, at $2.00/Sq Ft. The underlayment is included and we hand you the joint glue. The concrete itself is never drilled or nailed.
Wood leaves Coventry by truck the day after your order, which is quick even for a drive out past the Quabbin. Weekend installs are available for people who work all week.
Yes. Our crew will empty and refill the rooms for a flat $250, and taking out an old floor costs around $1.00/Sq Ft. Both appear as separate lines on your quote.
Wood gets paid for on delivery day. Labor is paid on day one, when the crew is unloading tools in your driveway. Sanding jobs are split in two equal payments, start and finish.
We do. Every install comes with our one year labor guarantee, the wood maker covers the planks, and the same certified crew that installed your floor comes back out.
