Walkthrough Before We Start
Hill-country houses move with frost and humidity, so our lead installer probes the subfloor, checks each door height and decides the board direction before one carton is ordered.

Nobody here is a hired-in sub. Each installer is a Brazil Floors employee holding a license, insurance and an NWFA certification.
On the first morning the tape comes out once more. Boxes go to the rooms they belong in, and reducers are staged at every opening before nailing starts.
We guarantee our labor for twelve months, and the manufacturer guarantees the wood separately, which gives you cover on both the work and the planks.

Planks follow the longest wall, which saves wood and settles a room with many windows.

Short boards in a zigzag give a dining room a woven, old-house look.

Miter-cut ends make the rows meet in clean arrows that lead the eye along a hall.

Boards at 45 degrees to the walls open up a small room, and a snug cottage feels roomier.

Oak squares with the grain alternated bring a parquet look to a sunporch.

Pieces woven over and under, often outlined with a dark border, belong in the older houses of Chester Factory Village.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, with nails and underlayment inside that rate. Buy the wood through us and unfinished oak is $5.50/Sq Ft installed, prefinished $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. We bring the free estimate and samples to your door, and your material leaves our Natick warehouse with next day delivery.
We can. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft and we haul the debris away. Furniture moved out and back is a flat $250.
Not solid oak. Engineered planks can float over underlayment for $2.00/Sq Ft, glued at the joints, with no fasteners through the slab.
Solid planks rest indoors for several days while we meter the boards and the subfloor. That wait protects against gaps and cupping.
Close, yes. We use red or white oak, mix stain on site and test it on spare wood so you approve it first.
Labor is due when the crew arrives and begins, and material is due when the boxes are delivered. A sanding job is paid in halves, 50% when sanding starts and 50% with the final coat.
Our labor is warrantied for one year, and the planks keep their manufacturer warranty. The installers are our own employees, licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
