Walkthrough Before We Start
Before the first bundle arrives, the lead installer tours the house with you, checking the subfloor, how level the walls sit and the best direction for the planks.

Nobody we send out is a subcontractor. Every hardwood installer has passed NWFA certification, works under our license and insurance, and is paid by Brazil Floors alone.
We remeasure every room the morning work begins and count the wood bundles, transitions and trim, so nobody has to drive back down Route 23 for missing parts.
For a year, any problem with our workmanship gets fixed free, and the company that milled your planks warranties the wood.

Straight lay sends planks the long way down the room, a timeless look that wastes very little wood.

Square cut pieces zigzag over the room and lend a warm, crafted feel.

Mitered ends come together in crisp points, drawing you down a hallway.

Planks set at a forty five across the room open up a small bedroom and disguise walls that aren't square.

Small square blocks, each rotated a quarter turn from the next, form a neat grid under a dining table.

Short pieces set in pairs change direction from one square to the next, a handmade touch for a den or study.

Nailing in your planks is $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, and we don't charge extra for cleats or underlayment. If we supply the wood too, unfinished strips total $5.50/Sq Ft, and prefinished planks come to $6.00/Sq Ft, both with installation.
Every time. Hilltown cellars can stay damp after snowmelt, so readings get taken before any wood goes down. If the meter runs high, engineered planks are usually the safer pick.
Yes. Pulling up carpet, vinyl or old strips runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and if a piano or china cabinet is in the way, the crew handles furniture moving for a flat $250.
Once you order, the planks come up from Coventry overnight, and installation starts as soon as they're on site. Saturday and Sunday dates are available too.
No. Plenty of homeowners bring their own and hire us for labor only. If you're comparing, we'll carry samples right into your living room, and we'll beat any lower quote on the same material.
Sure. Each brand new oak step costs $60, stain and labor included, and solid existing treads can get a refinish at $50 apiece to match the new floor.
You pay for installation labor when the crew's truck pulls into the driveway, and wood is paid once it's dropped off. Sanding or refinishing works differently, with a 50 percent payment at the start and what's left once we wrap up.
Yes, twelve months on our labor, with the manufacturer's warranty on the wood itself. Every installer has NWFA certification, and Brazil Floors keeps them licensed and insured.
