Samples on Your Own Wood
Three or four test squares get painted straight onto your sanded wood, so you see how each floor stain color looks in your room before we commit to it.

Stain magnifies every sander swirl. That is why our last pass uses fine paper, followed by two rounds with the vacuum, before color ever appears.
We apply stain with a pad, then rag off the excess within minutes. That timing is what keeps color steady from the hearth to the far corner, without dark halos at the walls.
No subcontractors here. Staff we employ, NWFA trained, licensed and insured, handle each staining job, and our labor stays guaranteed twelve months.

Staining is $2.00/Sq Ft. It goes along with sanding and refinishing, which is $2.50/Sq Ft, and you get the full total in writing at the free estimate.
Stain needs bare wood to soak into, so the old finish has to come off first. That is why staining always comes paired with a full sanding.
We brush several samples onto a sanded patch of your floor. Study them over coffee, again at dinner, maybe sleep on it, then pick the one you like best.
It does, a little. Very dark floors show dust, crumbs and pet hair sooner than mid tones, and we talk through that with you before you make the call.
It is, though the pink in red oak tends to bleed through gray. A few gray samples go on your floor first, so the real result is in front of you before committing.
Those woods can blotch with darker stains. We always test first and may suggest a lighter shade or an extra prep step to keep the color even.
Stain dries before the clear finish goes on, and then each layer of finish needs its own drying time. We give you a clear schedule before work starts.
You split it: one payment as sanders fire up, one at the walkthrough. With our staining labor backed by a one year promise, a crew returns if anything looks off.
