Dustless Floor Refinishing
Our big sanders feed straight into vacuum bags, and once the last pass is done we vacuum walls, sills and floor again so no grit gets trapped under the finish.

A bedroom or a modest first floor usually needs a few days from bare wood to final layer of finish. We tell you when bare feet are safe, and when the couch can come back.
Dog stains, ugly gouges and any strip that wiggles get fixed ahead of the drum sander, so the repaired areas disappear into the refinished floor.
Our sanding work is guaranteed for twelve months. Fifty percent is due on the opening morning, the other fifty when your floor is fully done.

Clear finish and nothing else, letting pale white oak keep its daylight look in sunny rooms near Dean Park.

A warm mid brown, great at hiding crumbs in kitchens near Floral Street School.

Neutral brown that gets along with any trim color and quiets that orange tint red oak develops after decades.

Brown with a little red in it, a natural partner for the older homes of the Shrewsbury Historic District.

Rich and dark but stopping short of black, a dining room color that still lets oak grain come through.

Close to black and very dramatic in a large open room. Dust and dog hair show up faster on it, and you hear that from us before you choose.

Sanding and refinishing is $2.50/Sq Ft. A new stain color adds $2.00/Sq Ft. Our estimator measures each room at the free estimate and hand you the total in writing before we start.
Solid oak usually has plenty. Lifting a heat register lets us gauge the wood remaining above the tongue, and if it is too thin we will tell you straight.
Most families do. We close off the rooms being sanded, and you stay out of them while the finish dries. Pets do best in a far corner of the house or at a friend.
Light gray usually sands out. Black spots mean water soaked down deep, and those strips get cut out and replaced before the whole room is refinished.
We can. It is $250 flat for the project. Please pack up lamps, picture frames and anything breakable yourself the night before.
Water based finish smells far milder than oil based. Crack a window, run a box fan and the odor is mostly gone within a day or so.
You hand over fifty percent the morning sanding begins, and settle up after you inspect the finished floor alongside our lead guy.
Call us. We stand behind refinishing labor for twelve months, and if something in our work looks off, a crew comes back to sort it out.
