Samples on Your Own Wood
We brush a short row of candidate colors onto bare wood and leave them overnight, letting you compare them in sunshine and under your living room lamps.

Dark tones show every sanding mark, so the final pass uses fine grit paper, and every speck of dust is vacuumed up before color touches the wood.
Color is wiped on with clean rags a few rows at a go, and any extra gets lifted immediately, so the tone stays even from one wall to the next.
Our licensed, insured staff do all the color work. Spot a problem with our labor in the first twelve months, and we'll make it good with no bill attached.

Stain is $2.00/Sq Ft, added to sanding and clear finish at $2.50/Sq Ft. The free estimate lists both lines, so the full price is clear before any work.
Red oak has a pink undertone that can fight with gray. We test a toner first, and if the color still looks off, we suggest a warmer gray or a natural tone instead.
Maple has a very tight grain that absorbs stain unevenly. We use a conditioner or water pop the wood first, and we test samples on your actual floor before committing.
Not without sanding. Stain only soaks into bare wood, so we sand off the existing finish completely first. Prefinished floors usually can't be stained at all.
It does show more than a medium tone. Many families with dogs pick a mid brown, which hides hair and grit better while still feeling rich.
Light use in clean bare feet can usually start after the finish dries, often the next day. Give it a few more days before heavy furniture returns.
Half is due the day we begin sanding and half once the last finish goes on. Moving your furniture out and back is available too, at $250 for the job.
That's why we test first. You'll see real samples on your own floor and approve one before any room is stained, so there are no surprises at the end.
