Boards Matched to Yours
Oak, maple or old growth pine, we find wood that matches yours in width and figure, and we keep tinting the stain until the patch blends into the farmhouse floor.

On the free visit our tech checks the damage up close, uses a moisture meter and, when there's a cellar, looks at the joists from below so the fix holds.
A Middlefield winter of woodstove heat dries the wood and opens gaps. We fill those and screw any loose planks to the subfloor so grit stops collecting.
Our own people do every repair, never a subcontractor. Every tech is NWFA trained, Brazil Floors is licensed and fully insured, and repair labor is guaranteed twelve months.

Each job is different, so the price comes after we've seen the damage. The visit costs nothing, and our tech explains what needs doing before you decide anything.
We get it very close. The new wood matches your floor's species and width, the grain lines up with its neighbors, and the stain is blended until it looks like it's been there all along.
It's nearly always moisture, from a dripping trap under the kitchen sink, a leaky door or a damp fieldstone cellar. We find the source before any wood gets replaced.
Not always. A little patch often blends in on its own. But if the floor around the repair is dull and faded, refinishing all of it at $2.50/Sq Ft gives you an even color throughout.
Usually two planks rubbing together, or nails that loosened over the years. We fasten the floor down into the subfloor and joists, and the squeak goes away.
Often it can be saved. Once the plumbing is fixed and the wood has dried out, we replace planks that stay cupped and touch up the finish, with meter readings showing where the damage ends.
If new material goes in, you pay labor when the techs arrive and the material on delivery. Repairs that include sanding and refinishing are billed 50% as we begin, with the remaining 50% due once you've seen the finished floor.
