Dustless Floor Refinishing
Vacuum hoses hook onto every sander, so most dust ends up bagged instead of drifting onto window sills. Before finish goes on, the floor gets vacuumed and tacked again.

Plan on a few days, start to finish, for most rooms. Give the new finish a day before you walk across it barefoot, and a few more before the rugs and the heavy dresser come back.
Trouble spots get handled before sanding begins. Pet stained or split pieces get replaced and loose spots tightened, so refinished color reads even across each room.
Twelve months of warranty cover our refinishing labor. You pay half the morning our sanders start up in your house and the balance when the job is finished.

Clear finish over bare wood, with no stain at all, keeps a sunny farmhouse kitchen near the Fairgrounds bright and natural.

Warm medium brown hides crumbs and scuffs well, perfect for a busy mudroom entry near Bancroft.

Soft neutral brown tames orange in older red oak and pairs with any trim in Glendale homes.

Reddish brown looks right in Federal style rooms near the Daniel Chapman House on Skyline Trail.

Deep coffee brown makes a dining room in a house near the Westfield River feel formal, and the grain still shows.

Nearly black adds drama to a big open room. Dust shows sooner than on mid tones, which our estimator mentions before you choose.

For sanding and refinishing we charge $2.50/Sq Ft. Staining is another $2.00/Sq Ft if you want a new color, and solid stair treads run $50 per step to sand and refinish.
Usually, yes. Just keep out of whichever rooms we're sanding, and if the bedrooms are in the job, a night at a friend's place while the finish dries is easier.
Very little. Our sanders have vacuums attached that pull in nearly all the dust as they run, and we vacuum again before the finish, so your walls and furniture stay clean.
Light ones sometimes can. Deep black spots mean the urine went into the wood, so we take out those planks, put in matching wood and blend it before refinishing.
Solid wood floors can usually be sanded many times. An engineered floor only has a thin wood veneer over plywood, so we measure it during the estimate and tell you honestly.
Chairs and light pieces can come back after about two days. Rugs and the heavy dresser should wait longer while the finish cures, and we'll tell you the date.
We ask for half the day our sanders arrive. The second half is due on the last day, when the closing layer of polyurethane is drying. Estimates are always free.
Our own crew does every refinish. Every one of them is NWFA certified, and we're licensed and insured, with a full year of warranty on the refinishing labor.
