Walkthrough Before We Start
Salt air, flood-prone streets and older two-family layouts leave floors out of level and boards swollen. Our crew lead checks the subfloor, thresholds and stairs of your Winthrop home before any wood is ordered.

Every installer who enters your home is on the Brazil Floors payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified. Subcontractors never set foot in your house.
Measuring comes first, room by room, and then cartons, trim and reducers are stacked near the entry so the install flows from one room to the next.
We stand behind our labor for twelve months, and the boards carry the maker's warranty, so both the craftsmanship and the wood have protection.

Planks run along the longest wall use the least wood, and they make a narrow row-house hallway feel longer.

Short boards fitted at right angles in a zigzag, each one scribed to its neighbor. Right for the dining room of an older house on the harbor side.

Boards mitered at 45 degrees meet in a clean V, a polished detail in a condo kitchen that opens to the living room.

Boards set on a diagonal draw the eye toward the window and widen a small bedroom.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, laid parquet style, a traditional touch for an enclosed porch facing the water.

Short oak strips woven over and under with a dark frame, a long-standing favorite in the formal front rooms of older houses.

Nail-down installation is $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, and the nails and underlayment are built into that figure. Buy the wood through us and the package is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished, with up to 30% off material from Brazil Floors.
It can be, with preparation. At the free estimate the crew lead checks the subfloor and moisture, and if a floor is too exposed we recommend engineered boards or vinyl plank instead.
Engineered hardwood, floated with glued seams so no nail pierces the concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and either one is a sensible answer for an entryway that takes salt and sand.
Material leaves the Natick warehouse and reaches your address the next day after you choose. The free in-home estimate happens first, with samples brought to you.
One new oak tread costs $60, and the riser, nosing, stain and installation labor are part of it. Sound existing stairs can be refinished instead for $50 per step.
Labor is due on the day the crew arrives and starts, and material is due when the boxes are delivered. Sanding is divided evenly, half at the start and half with the last coat.
A one-year warranty covers our labor, and the manufacturer warrants the boards. No one on the job is a subcontractor; the installers are our employees and hold a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
