Walkthrough Before We Start
Brick two-families and triple-deckers settle unevenly, so our lead installer walks every floor with a level, taps for soft plywood and notes each threshold before anything is ordered.

Everyone who enters your unit is on the Brazil Floors payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and no subcontractor ever shows up in your hallway.
On day one the crew measures again, carries cartons up the stairs room by room and sets reducers at each door, so the nailer works without stopping to search for parts.
We stand behind our labor for one year, and the mill covers the planks with a separate materials warranty, so the work and the wood both have a guarantee.

Rows run with the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and makes a narrow railroad-style room look longer.

Short planks set in a zigzag give a dining room an old parquet feel that suits brick buildings.

Each end is cut at 45 degrees so the rows meet in sharp arrows that pull the eye down a long hall.

Boards laid on the diagonal visually widen a small living room, a real gain in a compact city flat.

Squares of oak with alternating grain bring a classic parquet look to a sunroom with Boston Harbor light.

Short pieces woven over and under, usually framed by a border, fit the older homes near the Naval Hospital grounds.

Our nail down crew charges $2.25/Sq Ft for labor and covers the nails and underlayment. If the wood comes from us, unfinished oak installed is $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished is $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. The crew carries boxes up the stairs, lays down protection on the common landings and keeps the hall clear, and we bring the estimate to you for free.
We do. Tear-out usually runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and the old material leaves with us. Moving furniture out and back is a flat $250.
Not solid. Engineered planks can float on underlayment with glued joints for $2.00/Sq Ft, so nothing is nailed into the concrete.
Material rides from our Natick warehouse and arrives the next day. After delivery the crew is booked close behind it.
Yes. If a landlord wants several apartments done, we schedule them one after another at the same per Sq Ft rate in each.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and work begins, and material when the boxes are delivered. A sanding job is split 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
One year on our labor, plus the manufacturer warranty on the wood. The people working in your home are our own licensed, insured, NWFA certified employees.
