Walkthrough Before We Start
Salt air and a winter nor'easter move wood more than people expect, so before we pick a plank we test the subfloor, check each doorway height and look over your stairs.

You will see a license, insurance and NWFA certification for everyone who walks in, and every one of them is on our payroll, not hired by the day.
The crew measures every room, then stacks boxes, trim and reducers just inside the entry so the first day is spent laying and not hunting for parts.
We stand behind our labor for twelve months, and the boards carry the maker's own warranty, so both the workmanship and the wood have coverage.

Boards run along the long axis of the room, which wastes the least wood and stretches a narrow Little Nahant parlor.

Short pieces turned square to each other in a staggered zigzag, each cut by hand. It suits a dining room in an older house on Big Nahant.

Each board end is cut at 45 degrees so the rows close into a neat V, a good fit for a renovated open kitchen.

Planks set on a diagonal pull the eye toward the far wall, so a compact Short Beach kitchen seems roomier.

Squares of oak with the grain alternating, parquet fashion, bring an old-world look to a sunroom with a harbor view.

Narrow oak pieces interlaced in a basket pattern, usually edged with a contrasting band. It belongs in the formal rooms of the grander East Point houses.

Nail-down labor is a flat $2.25/Sq Ft and includes the nails and underlayment. Adding the wood from us brings it to $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Wood always shifts a little with the seasons, so we leave an expansion gap at every wall and check moisture first. Keeping indoor humidity steady does the rest.
Yes. We screw down loose boards, add plywood where it is needed and nail the new oak into a firm base.
Engineered hardwood floated over foam with glued joints. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do, at $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl plank labor and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate labor. Vinyl is a sensible pick for a sandy back entry near the beach.
The next day. Trucks load at our Natick warehouse and cross the Nahant Road causeway to your door, so the crew can start soon after.
Each new tread is $60 with riser, nosing, stain and labor included. Stairs that are still sound can be refinished at $50 per step.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and material when boxes are delivered. Our work has a one year labor warranty, and the flooring keeps its manufacturer warranty.
