Walkthrough Before We Start
Lynn has plenty of three-family houses from the early 1900s, and their old subfloors move. Before a single board goes down, our lead checks the base, the thresholds and the stair landings.

Everyone who works in your house is on Brazil Floors payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified. No subcontractors ever show up at your door.
On day one we tape out each room, stack the cartons by the door and set aside the trim and reducers, so nobody hunts for a piece mid-job.
We stand behind our labor for one year, and the boards carry the maker's own warranty. If a seam or a nail head shows up, call and we fix it.

Boards laid along the longest wall waste the least wood and go fastest. The room looks stretched and wider, which helps a narrow Lynn hallway.

Short pieces turned ninety degrees in a zigzag, each one cut by hand. It is a faithful look for a Victorian dining room in the Diamond District.

Each plank is mitered at 45 degrees so the rows meet in a sharp V. It reads well in the open layouts of renovated Lynn condos.

Planks run at a diagonal to the walls and pull the eye across the room, so a small kitchen near Lynn Shore Reservation seems roomier.

Oak blocks are alternated grain against grain in the parquet manner, a classic choice for a sunroom with a view toward Egg Rock.

Short oak strips are woven over and under, usually framed by a darker border. You find it in older homes up the hill from Lynn Heritage State Park.

Nail-down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft and includes the nails and underlayment. Buying the wood through us brings the package to $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. The crew removes carpet and pad, pulls staples and tack strips, secures any loose plywood and then nails the oak. Tear-out of old flooring runs about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered hardwood, floated over padding with glued joints so nothing is nailed into the concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and waterproof vinyl is the better pick for a damp back entry near the water.
Delivery comes from our Natick warehouse the day after you order. That keeps a Lynn job from sitting idle waiting on boxes.
A new hardwood tread is $60, which covers the tread, riser, nosing, stain and labor. Refinishing sound stairs is $50 per step.
Your labor payment comes due the moment the installers show up, and the flooring is paid for as the boxes reach your door. A sanding job is divided in half, with 50% at the first pass and 50% once the last coat goes on.
Our labor is warranted for one year and the planks carry the manufacturer warranty. The installers are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and none are subcontractors.
