Walkthrough Before We Start
Mid-century ranches often sit on slabs and older colonials on tired plank subfloors, so before ordering we check the base, each doorway and every stair in your Needham house.

Each installer who enters your home is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and each is a Brazil Floors employee rather than a hired-in sub.
Our crew measures every room first, then stages boxes, trim and reducers near the entry. That keeps the laying days steady with no stops to hunt for pieces.
Twelve months of labor warranty come from us, and the boards carry the manufacturer's own coverage, so the work and the wood are both protected.

Rows follow the length of the room, the least wasteful pattern, and the lines make a narrow hallway feel longer.

Short boards turned square to each other in a stepped zigzag, cut and fit one at a time. A fitting touch for a formal dining room in a Needham colonial.

Mitered at 45 degrees, board ends meet in a crisp V. It flatters the open plans of rebuilt houses near Route 128.

Planks run corner to corner on a diagonal and widen a small kitchen without changing a wall.

Oak blocks with the grain turned in alternating directions give a sunroom its parquet look.

Narrow strips woven over and under, often with a darker border. At home in the older rooms around Needham Center.

Our flat labor rate for nail-down is $2.25/Sq Ft, nails and underlayment included. With the wood from us, the total is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
We usually take the old floor up, check the subfloor, secure or replace anything soft and then nail the new oak down. Tear-out runs about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered hardwood floated on foam with glued joints, so no nail touches the concrete. That method is $2.00/Sq Ft in labor.
Yes. Labor is $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl plank and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate. Vinyl is a good fit for a mudroom or a basement playroom.
Next day. It leaves our Natick warehouse, a short drive from Needham, and the crew can usually start soon after.
Each hardwood tread is $60 with riser, nosing, stain and labor. Solid stairs can instead be refinished at $50 per step.
The crew is paid when work starts and the boxes when they arrive. Sanding work is paid half when the sander starts and half with the final coat.
We warrant our labor for a year, and the flooring keeps its manufacturer warranty. The installers hold a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
