Walkthrough Before We Start
On day one, the crew lead walks the house with you, presses a heel into any soft spot on the subfloor and shows where the new oak will meet tile and carpet.

Every installer on your floor works for Brazil Floors and holds NWFA certification. We're licensed and insured for every house we walk into near Middleton Pond.
The tape measure comes out again before any cutting. Cartons, transitions and trim pieces all get counted up front, so nobody races down Route 114 for one more box.
Brazil Floors stands behind the installation for a year, and whoever milled your hardwood adds a separate warranty on the wood.

Planks following the longest wall are what most North Shore homes have, and the layout wastes the least wood.

In herringbone, short planks zigzag across the room, each end tight to the next one's side.

Chevron planks have angled ends, so the rows come together in sharp points down a hall.

Run on the diagonal, the rows make a small bedroom on Liberty Street feel roomier and take attention off crooked plaster walls.

Parquet is a grid of small wood blocks, each one turned against its neighbor, and it adds character to a formal dining room.

Basketweave puts short pieces in pairs that change direction, the same look as a woven basket, for an office or den.

Our labor to nail down hardwood is $2.25/Sq Ft, and the price includes underlayment and nails. When we bring the oak too, it's $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished, installed, or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Sometimes. Older colonials around Main Street can have dips or squeaky spots, so we go over the subfloor with a long level and a moisture meter and fix anything soft first.
It can, and many Middleton families do it. We look at how much splashing the sink and dishwasher area sees, and for a really wet kitchen we might suggest engineered planks.
We do. Tearing out the old carpet and pad and hauling it off costs about $1.00/Sq Ft. Need the couch and beds moved out and back in? That's a flat $250.
Not solid hardwood. For concrete, the answer is engineered hardwood on a foam pad, $2.00/Sq Ft in labor, every joint glued and no nails going into the slab.
Usually the next day, on our truck from the Coventry warehouse. Solid hardwood then rests inside the house for several days to adjust before we install it.
You pay for installation when our crew pulls into the driveway, and for the material when it's delivered. The in-home estimate and the samples are free.
Brazil Floors guarantees the installation work for twelve months; separately, the maker's own warranty covers the wood. If someone in town gave you a cheaper written quote, we'll come in under it.
