Samples on Your Own Wood
We brush three or four likely shades onto freshly sanded spots in your room, so each stain color is judged under your windows and lamps, not showroom bulbs.

Color exaggerates every swirl a sander leaves, so the closing pass uses a fine grit screen, and two rounds with the vacuum come before any pigment touches wood.
Our crew rubs the pigment in using a pad, working small sections, and lifts any surplus right after, so the hearth side of the room matches the window side.
Our own NWFA trained crew does every staining job, licensed and insured, and if the work falls short within a year, we return to fix it.

Color alone runs $2.00/Sq Ft. When a complete sand and refinish is happening anyway, that job is $2.50/Sq Ft with stain already built in, so nobody pays for color twice.
Always. Several samples go onto your own sanded wood, and you study them in morning light and again after dark before we commit to one.
Near black floors do reveal dust and pet hair faster than medium browns. With a blond retriever or a busy mudroom entry, we might nudge you a step lighter.
Yes. Gray and driftwood tones take nicely on white oak. Red oak can lean pink under gray, so we test first and sometimes tone the wood before the final color.
Rushed sanding or stain left sitting on top of the wood. A fine final grit, hand application and a careful wipe keep the color uniform across the room.
Stain must dry before any clear finish is spread on, and that finish needs its own curing time. You get a written timeline from us before the work begins.
Sanding and staining get paid in two halves. One half is settled the first morning, the other once the final layer of clear finish has gone down.
Yes. If our staining labor gives you trouble within the year, we come back. Everyone holding a brush is a Brazil Floors employee with NWFA training, fully licensed and insured.
