Stain exaggerates every sander swirl, so the last pass uses very fine paper and two rounds of vacuuming happen before a drop of pigment hits the wood.
Color goes on with a pad and the surplus is wiped back almost immediately, which keeps the tone steady from the fireplace to the far window, no dark halos along the trim.
Our own licensed, insured staff with NWFA training does every staining job, and the workmanship stays guaranteed a whole year.

Our staining price is $2.00/Sq Ft. Most floors have to be sanded first so color takes evenly, and sanding with refinishing runs $2.50/Sq Ft. We confirm what your floor needs at the free estimate.
Yes, most oak takes darker stain beautifully. We sand to bare wood first and try the color right there, since one can of stain looks different on red oak than on white.
Red oak has natural warm tones that show through clear finish and light stains. Toning or a slightly deeper color can calm that cast without hiding the grain.
Gray works best on white oak, which has a cooler tone. On red oak, gray can turn muddy, so we always test samples and show you the result in your own light.
It can. We mix and test on sanded wood until the shade agrees with the floor beside it, so two rooms or a new addition read as one floor.
Once color is down, layers of clear finish follow, and each one needs drying time. During the estimate you'll get a written plan for walking and moving furniture back.
No. Sanding and staining is paid in two halves: one on day one as sanding gets going, the second after the clear finish has dried and we've walked the floor with you.
Our own people, licensed, insured and NWFA trained. Their workmanship is guaranteed twelve months, and if anything about the color or finish looks off, we come back.
