Three or four colors go side by side on one sanded corner, maybe by the slider. Study them with your coffee, then again under evening lamps, before the room is stained.

Any swirl a sander leaves behind will jump out under stain. Our final sanding is done with very fine abrasive, and we vacuum twice before the first rag of color.
Our crew pads stain into a modest patch, buffs off the surplus within minutes, then moves on, keeping the tone consistent between the hearth and the windows, free of dark streaks.
Our own NWFA trained staff handle the staining, all licensed and insured. If the color fails within a year because of our labor, we'll come back and redo it.

Staining is $2.00/Sq Ft. If the floor needs sanding first, that's part of a full refinish, and we'll explain the total clearly at your free estimate.
Always. We brush three or four sample patches onto a sanded section of your floor, and you choose after seeing them in your real light at different times of day.
Every oak floor absorbs stain differently depending on age, species and how it was sanded. That's why we never pick a color from a can or a chip alone.
Yes. Neutral brown or soft gray cuts much of that orange and pink. We'll brush two or three choices side by side on your oak, and you decide which one looks best.
A little, yes. Espresso and very dark walnut reveal lint and paw prints sooner than mid browns. If your dog has light fur, a warmer middle shade may suit you better.
Stain dries overnight, then clear finish goes on. Walking around barefoot is usually okay roughly twenty four hours after the final layer, and furniture can return a couple of days later.
Half is due the day the work starts. You pay what's left once the clear finish is dry and you've looked everything over. There's no large deposit weeks ahead.
Yes. People we employ directly handle every staining job, all licensed and insured. If our labor causes a color problem within twelve months of the job, we fix it on our dime.
