First we pair the species, the width of each plank and which way the grain runs. Sample stain then goes onto spare pieces until it sits quietly beside your floor.

Think of the free visit as a checkup. We press on soft areas, test moisture and look below the floor if needed, so your fix survives many winters.
Loose planks are screwed down into the subfloor, and those seams that pull apart every January get filled, giving crumbs and sand nowhere to hide.
Repairs are handled by NWFA trained staff on our payroll, never subcontractors. Every one is licensed and insured, and should a patch loosen before next year, we return.

A picture gives us a starting idea, but floors hide surprises. The real price comes at the free visit, and you'll see it in writing before any wood gets cut.
In most cases, yes. Strip oak from that era is very common, so we track down pieces of equal width in the same wood, then tint them until old and new look like family.
Not always. After the leak is fixed, fans dry the wood for several days, and moisture readings show which pieces bounced back and which ones need replacing.
Yes. Those dark marks usually go all the way through the oak, so we pull out the stained pieces, fit matching wood in their place and finish the spot to blend.
Usually a plank has worked loose from its nails and rubs when you step on it. Screwing it down into the joist below almost always quiets it for good.
Often not. Dry winter heat shrinks wood, and many of those cracks close up again in humid August weather. Ones that never close, even in summer, can be filled to keep dirt out.
Usually within two days. Small fixes are often finished on that first trip, but serious water damage needs time to dry before any new wood goes in.
Yes. Licensed, insured people who work for us handle every repair, with one year of labor protection included. If that same spot gives you trouble, we come back.
