Will water really not hurt luxury vinyl plank?
The planks themselves will not swell from water, so spilled juice, a pet accident or a puddle under the boot tray wipes right up. A flood can still sneak under the edges, so dry standing water quickly.
Can vinyl go straight onto a concrete basement slab?
Yes. We check the slab for moisture, roll out a vapor barrier and then lay the planks. Plenty of basements around here have been finished exactly that way.
Do my kitchen cabinets need to come out?
No. We run the vinyl up to the cabinet toe kick and trim it clean. Refrigerators and stoves get slid out and set back after the floor is down.
How long does a vinyl plank job take?
Most single rooms are finished in a day, and a typical first floor in two or three. Planks ship next day from Coventry, so we can usually start that same week.
Will LVP hold up with big dogs?
A good wear layer handles claws and toys well. Keep nails trimmed and stick felt pads on chair legs, and the planks keep their good looks for years.
When is my vinyl floor paid for?
Labor is paid when our crew shows up to start, and if we supplied the planks, that part is paid at delivery. No deposits sitting around for weeks.
