Samples on Your Own Wood
Three or four stain colors go on a freshly sanded patch, and you look at each one in your own window light before the rest of the floor sees any.

Dark colors expose every sander swirl, so the final pass runs at a fine grit and the shop vac goes over the room twice before pigment ever lands.
Pigment gets massaged in with a pad, and any excess comes off within minutes, which keeps the tone level across the room and avoids dark halos along the walls.
Stain jobs here are done start to finish by staff we employ, all licensed, insured and schooled by the NWFA, and any labor slip within a year is ours to fix.

Staining is $2.00/Sq Ft. Since the floor has to be sanded to bare wood first, most people pair it with sanding and refinishing at $2.50/Sq Ft. We confirm the total at the free estimate.
Yes. A small section gets sanded, then a handful of shades are brushed side by side, letting you judge each on your wood and in your light before the whole room commits.

Stain must dry fully before sealer goes over it, usually adding about a day. When the last clear layer has cured overnight, careful walking in clean slippers is fine.
Like all our sanding work, it is paid in two parts: half the morning we start, the remainder once that final sealer has dried. No big deposit is needed up front.
Usually, yes. We mix and test samples next to the existing floor until the colors line up, and then both rooms look like they were finished together.
