We line up the species, the strip width and which way the grain runs, then dab test stain on spare pieces until the new wood reads like its neighbors.

At the free visit we kneel down, size up each damaged spot, meter the moisture and check below, then hand over a repair price that holds.
Any strip that rocks or creaks is fastened back down, and seasonal gaps get filled so crumbs and grit quit packing in between.
Our licensed, insured repair crew trained with the NWFA, and every patch they do is protected under our labor warranty for twelve months.

No two repairs are alike, so our price comes after a free estimate where someone kneels down and inspects the damage. Small patches often cost far less than people expect, and the number is set before we start.
Usually, yes. We replace only the damaged strips and blend the color into the floor around them. If the surrounding oak looks faded too, a full refinish at $2.50/Sq Ft evens everything out.
We match the species, width and grain, and stain samples go on leftover cutoffs until the color lines up. On older floors, sanding the area around the patch lightly helps it disappear.
Cupping almost always comes from moisture, like a leak, a damp basement or a wet mat left on the floor. We find and stop the source, wait for the oak to dry out, then replace anything that stays raised.
Light marks may sand out. Dark stains that went deep into the wood usually need those strips replaced, then stained and sealed to blend in.
Wood that has worked loose rubs on its nails or on the subfloor, and that is the noise you hear. We fasten those spots down tight, often from above with small screws hidden under filler.
Most estimates can be scheduled within a few days, and many small repairs are finished in a single visit. Bigger jobs get scheduled right after the estimate.
Yes. Our own licensed, insured people handle every patch, and if our labor lets you down at any point in the next twelve months, we return and fix it.
