The Challenge
The strips had cupped across a wide area, and the finish had clouded white in the corner by the window.
Our Approach
We waited for the meter to read dry, then removed only the strips that stayed cupped and wove in new oak at staggered lengths.
The Process
The dining room was sanded as one floor and sealed in a single finish so the repair disappears.
Materials and Finish
Red oak strips at staggered lengths, glue and a single satin finish over the room.
The Result
The dining room table is back in place, and the family cannot find the spot where the damage was.
