Vinyl Plank Installation
Stain Color
Natural oak look
Finish
Matte wear layer
Town
Waterbury
The Challenge
The tile sat on a thick mortar bed, so taking it out left the kitchen lower than the dining room.
Our Approach
We broke out the mortar, built the floor back up with new underlayment and kept the transition to the dining room flush.
The Process
The planks were clicked in from the back door forward, then trimmed around the cabinets with new quarter round.
Materials and Finish
Rigid core vinyl in a natural oak look, new underlayment and vinyl quarter round.
The Result
Boots, spills and the dog bowl are no longer a problem, and nobody trips at the dining room edge.
