The Challenge
Under the carpet the steps were rough pine with staple holes and a slight lean on two treads.
Our Approach
We removed the old steps, shimmed the stringers level and fit new oak treads one at a time.
The Process
The treads were stained to match the hall, the risers painted white and everything sealed in satin.
Materials and Finish
Solid oak treads, white painted risers and a satin finish.
The Result
The stairs are now the first thing guests notice, and they are much easier to keep clean.
