The Challenge
The strips had cupped and the finish had turned cloudy along a six foot stretch.
Our Approach
We dried the area, removed the cupped strips and wove in new oak at staggered lengths.
The Process
The room was sanded and finished as one floor so the repair blends in.
Materials and Finish
Oak strips woven at staggered joints, cleats and a satin finish, plus a new door sweep.
The Result
The floor by the slider is flat again, and the family added a new door sweep to keep the next storm out.
