The Challenge
The floor had lost its finish years ago, and the surface had turned gray and rough. Scratches ran across the room, and there were a few dark marks along the walls and near the doors.
Our Approach
We sanded to fresh wood in three passes. The scratches came out with the first coarse pass, and the next two smoothed the surface so the finish would lay flat and even across the boards.
The Process
We vacuumed after every pass and went over the edges with a lamp. Then the floor got its finish in three coats, each one left to dry fully before the next, room by room toward the door.
Materials and Finish
Light natural wood with no stain, sealed under three gloss coats that make the rooms feel bigger.
The Result
That same gray floor now looks light, bright and even. The scratches are gone, the dark marks by the walls too, and the shine makes every room feel bigger.
