The Challenge
The orange came from the old finish soaking into the wood, so a light sanding would not remove it.
Our Approach
We sanded down to clean wood and picked a honey tone that keeps the warmth without the orange cast.
The Process
After a water pop, the stain was wiped on in sections and sealed with two layers of satin.
Materials and Finish
Honey stain, water popping and a satin finish.
The Result
The floors glow warm in the evening light, and the orange is gone for good.
