The Challenge
The old sheet floor was glued down and lifting at every seam. The kitchen and bath meet the living room, so water was always a concern.
Our Approach
We scraped the old floor, patched the low spots and ran one continuous plank from the kitchen through the hall so there are no breaks for water to find.
The Process
Underlayment went down with taped seams, then the planks were clicked in and tapped tight. New quarter round and thresholds finished the doorways.
Materials and Finish
Rigid core luxury vinyl plank in a light oak look, underlayment with a moisture barrier and matching thresholds.
The Result
The unit was ready to show in four days. The floor wipes clean, handles a spill without a second thought and looks like wood from the doorway.
