The Challenge
The living room had two kinds of floor that met in a ridge, and the hall ran slightly downhill toward the kitchen.
Our Approach
We pulled both floors, leveled the ridge and planned the layout so the planks would run toward the front window and make the room feel longer.
The Process
Foam underlayment first, then each plank angled in and locked. We left an even gap at every wall and covered it with new trim.
Materials and Finish
Twelve millimeter laminate in a warm oak tone, foam underlayment and painted trim.
The Result
The rooms feel bigger and brighter, and the floor has already been through a winter of wet boots without a mark.
