The Challenge
The floor had been refinished before and was thin in spots, so heavy sanding was a risk.
Our Approach
We checked the thickness, used a lighter sanding sequence and hand scraped the edges instead of over sanding them.
The Process
After the final pass and two vacuums, we laid down a sealer and three layers of gloss with a buff between each one.
Materials and Finish
Bare strip oak, sealer and high gloss finish.
The Result
The oak reflects the windows again and the old house looks the way it was meant to.
