The Challenge
The stains went through the strips, and a few had started to rot at the edges.
Our Approach
After the window was sealed, we cut out every stained strip and wove in new oak.
The Process
The room was sanded and finished as one floor so the patch blends in.
Materials and Finish
New oak strips, a sealed window frame and a satin finish over the whole room.
The Result
The black stains are gone, and the floor under the window looks like the rest of the room.
